What could you salvage from a clothes dryer?

After reading the 50$ Knifemaker and prowling the forums, I was not so bummed when the wife decided that I would not be allowed to try and repair the dryer one more time. I have already removed the new motor (less than a year old), I figure I can use it witj the blower that I pulled out or on a buffer later. I also plan on salvaging the drum to use as a furnace to melt some aluminum and other metals.
I have a couple of questions though, could I use the heater coil in a home made tempering oven with an aftermarket thermometer with good results? What else could you think of to use out of this?

Thanks in advance-

Mods, sorry if I have posted in the wrong place, please move as you see fit.

I'd save the motor and heating elements. I still have the elements from a dryer that I'd like to use to make a tempering oven, but I don't seem to have the time, so I'll probably end up just buying another Evenheat.

You'd want more than just a thermometer. Get on Ebay and see if you can get a temperature controller and thermocoupler.

Motor
Belt(s)
Thermostat
High limit thermostat (safety limit)
Heating elements and or Gas burner and control
Timer
Bearings
Drum
Fan
lamps & Door switch
Sheet metal from the unit itself.

Could be used for many different things.

Once the elements have been heated in their place, they will likely break if you try to reshape them. The other parts will all find uses.
