There are some gorgeous knives on here and in the custom for sale area. Stupid question, is it still polite to make a reasonable offer on a custom knife in the exchange?
 
I can't speak for others but I would take interest in a knife I made as a compliment.
I'd prefer it to go by PM and start with the question if it is for sale.
 
Sorry. I may have phrased that incorrectly. What I meant was is it impolite to email/message a custom knife seller who has a listing in the Exchange with a slightly lower offer than his asking price?

NO - not at all. Asking out loud in the thread is, to my way of thinking, bad form but PMs or emails inquiries, are not at all impolite.
