What did you do to/with your Becker today?

Hey! Whose this guy!?

I know brother it's been a while. Lots of travelling, family dramas ect.. but enjoying my blades again. We've had 19 days of rain straight here. Will have a post up soon showing some new wares.

downsized_0402171122.jpg took the 29 and the dogs on a hike, cut up some pecker poles, found a six foot tall slab of pitch wood 0402171126_0001.jpg and fired up a little hand warmer downsized_0402171118.jpg

Shoulda put this in here a few days ago...

Under the lights before our little spring snowstorm. Cleaned up some stuff from my neighbor's yard that came down in the last blizzard - he's having health issues, I try to help out when I can (and free wood = win/win!) - and also picked up a crapload of blowdown from my own yard. Filled up the kindling bucket (35 gallon trash barrel) and put the Bundock to work - as well as my Sven Saw (and right bicep - aka: beer muscle....).

Not a Becker, but certainly a tool that compliments them:

Good stuff Granite! Love seeing knives being put to use like they were intended! I too, love my Sven saw. Either the Sven or the Silky accompanies my wife and I into the woods, sometimes both!

Good for you, GSoM. Nice to know there are still good neighbors out there.

Thanks. I don't think it's a big deal, really. He's been a great neighbor for more than a decade. Plus, I shoot my bow pretty much towards his back yard and he's been encouraging - even to the point of giving me some grief for NOT killing a turkey after a small flock walked right up his driveway 15' away from me while I was out shooting. "Why didn't you just trip one of 'em?!?" were his exact words. Of course, he'll be expecting a "cut" should I kill one.

Saw the Sven in your pack in your thread on the new beta site. Good stuff.

Showed off my recent Package from BK&T. Bk29, 5, snakecharmer to my co-workers. They never seem to show my level of enthusiasm????? I just don't understand!!!

Strangely had a weekend afternoon to myself. Decided to pack up the mutt and head out to the forest.

Weather was excellent; sunny and above freezing for a change. Most of the snow has finally melted, except for the shaded areas.

Found an area to set up for lunch.

Lunch, plus one drooly dog…

Wanna bite? :)

Vinegar-patina'd the trailing-point camp-kitchen set to a deep, even black.
Then began cherry scales for the 20.

Photobucket took a dump on me again.

I wandered around the woods looking for some more logs for the shiitake growing adventure. Had my trusty BK4 with me...

This guy looks like a good candidate.
