What did you use your sebenza for today?

Cut some tape. Finished up all of the high bay fixtures in the building, stripped the cords on them. Changed out a few exit and emergency lights. Used the tanto to pry a little and push in the tabs to open the fixtures. One of the old outside remotes was siliconed to the wall. Used the Inkosi to cut all the old silicone out of the way. Cut the plastic center knockout out with knife instead of just beating it out with screwdriver. Lot easier just to knock it out but I didn’t feel like walking to get it

Sliced up my somewhat cold leftover pizza for lunch, cut some tape, opened some wrapping, stripped out some wire. Had to run to a job for a couple hours to move some PVC conduit in this big bolder wall/waterfall feature with a bunch of lights in it. Bricklayers tried to “help” then called us. Used the tanto to scrape some dried purple primer off of my pipe they put on to try and re-glue a coupling on. Hit some mortar a few times while scraping and got some new marks on the blade. That front edge comes in handy in certain situations. Opened up a brownie for my son, complete excuse to use a knife

Today my Sebenza freed a colleague from federal custody. Well, technically it was the other day but it was still recent. Locked inside of a container dictated in size and weight by the federal government, this colleague very much wanted to get out. Here they are enjoying the spoils of freedom together.

(In other words, the Sebenza assisted in helping the Jade Para 3 escape from a Small Flat Rate box.)
Many thanks to a fellow BF User who helped me get this!

Now here’s the winner for my day. Little man and me went out an about today. Ended up about an hour and a half into the woods on foot. No where near civilization, toilet paper or a bathroom. My son tells me “daddy I really gotta poop”. I ask if he can hold it and of course he says no I gotta go now, so we improvise. I take my 21 and cut up half of my boxers for toilet paper. First poop in the woods, proud dad moment. Talk about father son bonding. Happy fourth everyone :D
(And no he’s not pooping in the picture ;))

Used my Sebenza to cut up some left-over roast beef dinner while I sat on the couch. I was hungry after a long bike ride, and sadly ignored my dog, which looked at me all downtrodden and forlorn that all the beef disappeared without her getting a little (which I am usually happy to do). She’s 12 years old now, and still in great shape, so I’m thinking a few tables scraps has done no harm. It might be why she is so healthy.

Awww.. She's so cute. I could never say no to that! :)

Yeah. I married into “a Dachshund Family”, so getting a weiner dog wasn’t optional if I wanted a happy wife. However, I have earned deep respect for this dog in the 12 years I’ve lived with her. They are a tough breed. Al lot of the strength and courage that the Germans bred into them to flush game from burrows remains.......and super cute as well.....which helps with the begging!

She’s really a gorgeous animal. Kinda like a 12 pound, rock-solid cat that actually loves you back and will follow orders (mostly). :D

Love the pattern in her fur, beautiful specimen!:thumbsup:

Be sure to enjoy the time with her. Lucky for you(and her) lifespan on those small breeds tend to be quite long. :)

Cut up some cardboard, unnecessarily opened some snacks, helped with breakfast and supper opening meat packages. Sliced up mushrooms and jalapeños for some burgers tonite. Man does a tanto just perform that task horribly compared to something with some belly. Finally opened up my Father’s Day gift. Edge was getting dull to begin with, carving my initials in the bottom of the coffee cup/thermos most likely finished it off

Had some Guitars to box, so got out a 21 Serrated Cardboard cutter... but Deja Vu!!???? Same knife switched to illegal blade swap Insingo for the rest of the day... Don't Taze me Bro!!!!!!IMG_1987.jpgIMG_1988.jpg

Stripped and landed them. Cut a little Sheetrock above the panel where the cover will still cover to help fish the romex down in. Opened some fence posts. Stripped some romex and even stripped number 12 wire instead of using my strippers. Out of pure laziness to not go get my strippers. Used the swedge for a screwdriver. Oh and filleted my finger open as well. Only bled about 4 hours

Damn DC. You are making me miss my insingo and also making me really want a tango seb!!

Insingo is such a useful shape. Really hard to beat.
I don’t mind a tanto. Took me a bit to get used to it. But once I learned how to use them and know what they’re good at and what they’re not good at it, use got a lot easier
