What do I have here?

Acquired this as part of a belated inheritance and looking to ID it.
I have been told that it is a cheap Japanese knockoff from the 80's.
Any and all help much appreciated.

WW2 era USN MK2 by Robeson Cutlery Company. Made after the change order shifting the stamps from the ricassos to the guard. 1944-1945.

I know nothing of this company,but will look into it.
This was one of two mk2's in a box of stuff from my great uncle.
The other was this one,a guard marked Camillus with very little use.
Maybe this was his spare one.
