well i know theres no such thing as a stupid question, I know what "EDC" stands for, but what does "SAK" stand for......
thanks for your time

"SAK" stands for "Swiss Army Knife". There are two brands of "SAK's": Victorinox and Wenger.
Hope that helps :)

Take care, Davy

Most Swiss Army Knives are excellent and reliable tools, but not every knife is for everyone. Sometimes you get a Swiss Army Knife that just doesn't work for you. This is known as a sad SAK.

Ya know, it probably wouldn't hurt to have a common acronym/abreviation database in the FAQ.

And don't feel stupid. It took me quite a while to realize that IHOP and the International House Of Pancakes were one and the same.

That one got me at first too. And LEO took me awhile to clue in one, though I figured out right away it meant cop but it took a while before the actual meaning dawned on me.

LOL....Now thats funny...

I've never cared much for acronyms, but after belonging to I don't know how many different forums you begin to figure it out.

LOL = Laughing out load, or lots of laughs depending on who you ask.

HTH = Hope that helps

SAK = Swiss Army Knife

EDC = Everyday carry

BTW = By the way.

FWIW = For what its worth

all seem to be the most common ones for around here.

Every now and then even the old pros find one that isn't obvious though.

DSB for example. I've seen this one and still don't know for sure what it means. (deadly sludge buildup??) what the f&%#
