I've discussed the heat treat development process here on BF many times and the hows and whys with the Delta protocol many times, but I've never discussed the process on video before.

I much prefer text and forums for this sort of thing because it's less rambling and more focused and I can proof read etc. I find video to be long, un-skimmable, tedious and less informative than forums, but this is "the way". People today don't read, they watch YouTube. So here is Nate, on YouTube, talking about heat treat, the Kephart and low temper tweaks.

It's 30 minutes long. If you're actually going to watch that, maybe grab a snack first...

One of the many factors that's made me such a CPK fan, is not simply the focus on all the 'Performance' aspects of your knives, but the fact that you're willing to explain things and share the wealth of info buzzing around in that head.

Lots of folks seem to jealously hide/guard any 'trade secrets' that they've researched/developed/use (rhymes with 'fussy' comes to mind 😉)

Well done Nathan. I'm one of those nincompoops with an aversion to reading out of sheer A.D.D but I really learned a lot by watching your last two videos as opposed to the same by way of your reading material presented in the past.

Two questions:

- have you been working out for the camera?

- the shirt looks like what dart throwing teammates wear and then I saw the dart board in the background.

:p

Exactly!

Really enjoyed that. Had to skip back a few times to re-watch some to try to absorb some of it better. I’m sure I’ll rewatch the entire thing a few more times as well.

15:41 The AEBL staying sharper than the 3v in that type of work was very surprising for me.

It was great seeing the Kephart in action as well.

I’m crossing my fingers this isn’t a one off.
