The knives at SK Blades all have their own special name. Are these custom shop Buck knives made specially for SK or do they also have something to do with the production. C&C has lots of exclusive Bucks but they all have the regular model numbers. Any insight would be great.

BTW, it's a moot point as I just placed an order with them!

The creative names add flavor to an already tasty treat :D I for one enjoy the extra effort.

Add to that Stephan, SK Blades, was instrumental in getting the BF 2018 knife through production and distributed to members. Deserving of many more accolades and recognition...

He seems to went MIA.. Was hoping he would jump in for the fixed blade BF Forum knife that was mentioned a few times..

He seems to went MIA..
In his defense, he has a business to run. I don't think he knew what he was getting into doing it in 2018...he does now know.

As you know he received no compensation for his time and effort short of the recognition and exposure for SKBlades.

Edited to add, he was also blessed with he and his wife's first born during the process. I hope he is spending lots of time enjoying that child.

I believe he is. I emailed him about a month ago concerning another matter.
He said he was fine, but very busy.

I'll always be grateful to SK for bringing out the Lil'Jack 112..So far it's the only D2 112 ever made. I have one Custom and one regular for my rare, odd 112 collection.

good dealer who does only special Buck runs.

I dont care about the names......its marketing though, so I get it. just dont care for it. prefer 112sr5 as in 112 special run number 5 or whatever. none of that has any bearing on good designs and better material knives from Buck, so no bother.

SKBlades is also a member of this forum, but a bit less active now because of being busy with other things.

SKBlades commissions special 'runs' with Buck, often getting a special or unique twist on a regular Buck model that cannot be found anywhere else. His editions of the Marksman are awesome! (And, to date, the only flipper I actually like, and that's quite a feat).

I've dealt with SKBlades on a couple of occasions and had a great experience each time. Like you, at first I was a bit sceptical because I didn't exactly know what I was dealing with, but SKBlades is absolutely good to go!

The Lil'l Jack was my first 112 and first SFO.
I liked it so much I bought a second for my nephew/godson's High School Graduation present.
I figured he deserved something special, since he was but 11 at the time.
(he doing well in college now)

SKBlades is def GTG. The "Shield" 110LT blue handle CPM154 drop point is one of my very favorite knives and has been a FANTASTIC edc since I got it. Cant wait to see what they have coming in the future!

I just bought another one of these today:thumbsup:
Sweet.
One for each hand!:p
They really are a nice knife.

edit.
I just went and looked and that is an awesome price on that right now with the cc.
