What is whittling...?

If this is considered advertising, mods please remove and accept my apologies........did, however, find this to be rather endearing.

Thank you for sharing that. I think I need to learn how to peel an apple in one peel…

This guy is the Bob Ross of pocket knives. He gave me a great idea for a new family tradition: I am going to start giving my son and daughter each a pocket knife every year for Christmas ... whether they think they need it or not.
It's important to understand the value of a good sharp blade in your pocket.
If more people started carrying they will run into moments where their usefulness will present themselves

The extent of my whittling is making pungee sticks/spear
Not trying to carve a raccoon face or nothin'

“Whittling” is what I call the process of using a knife to make some odd knickknack out of wood, since I don’t have the patience or skill to make something good and call call it “carving”.

You can also use terms like “rustic” or “rough-hewn” to make the sloppy work seem intentional…

Yes, all of my work is rustic or authentic or minimalist. But really that’s just the extent of my skill!! Don’t rat me out man!
