What kind of folder do you carry?

Still and exclusively Spydercos when it comes to folders. Not too expensive and not too cheap. Not too fancy in terms of being fidget and gadgety but will out cut most of the fancy schmancy folders right outta box:

I dunno. Some guy posted that CPK was hype and their buyers were just out of Spydercos to collect. Ever since then I can’t help but reference it.

Ha! I can’t see where there is any reality in that statement at all! But calling Mr. Casinostocks a dirty Spyderco collector, whether he’s just dirty, or collects dirty Spyderco knives, or is none of the above, sounds kind of fun.

Just for reference, English is my native language, though I know many might question that. I failed the college English writing test twice before having to take a class to get by it. Probably has to do with me being somewhat of a recluse and seldom talking to anyone. Though I’ve read grammar books, I still don’t really have a comfortable relationship with commas - now, I, just, put, commas, everywhere,,,,.:) Mike,

Hahahahaha. I don’t think it’s true but it’s just too funny. I wish I could find his post. I should have put it in my sig. As a rule I don’t take anything too personal.

My most recent 3 folder acquisitions all have a modified sheepsfoot. My personal favorite blade shape, bar none. The CRK inkosi insingo arrived last night and I'm immediately taken with this knife! It is shaving sharp (mildly impressive for a CRK factory edge), so at least I don't need to work on that first thing.

Tony, congrats on the Insingo blade Inkosi and glad to hear that you've got yourself a good and working edge right outta box  I'd be lying through my teeth if I say that I don't miss my CRKs but just remembering that their edges tended to be maintained a lot, I convince myself of no more CRKs ;)

Initially, I was not too fond of sheepfoot blade variant but my weirdly shaped Spyderco Spydiechef is such a little trooper. Probably my most working fancy folder! Been keeping an eye on the Spyderco-Rassenti Paysan (don't like the knife's name!) but at a tad over $500 it's giving me the greatest pause because I had made a promise to myself: NO MORE OF THE EXPENSIVE PRODUCTION FOLDERS! I've since been a good Mat and have been cruising in the 200-250 lane but let's see as to how long that'll last, LOL.

Gotta admit, I have been browsing more and more Shiro sales posts lately.... "tempting" would be under stating it.

Nah, you guys need one of these......., but not this one....

Zero chance that’s going in my pocket to be scraped against counter tops and door ways, used to cut all kinds of stuff that will wreck the Damascus and eventually dropped on concrete and/or asphalt. That’s the beauty of a user design executed to collectors standards or better.

I scored this used PM2 off of the exchange and forgot how much I like this combo.
The fact that it was used made it so much easier to carry.

After half a dozen Spyderco examples I’ve determined buying used is the best way to guarantee a good centering and action. Nothing like opening a box and wondering if a teenager in shop class whipped this thing up on a $40 grinder.
