This board was given to me so I have no idea what it is. It is very heavy, dense and hard. It has a really nice grain pattern.

Josh, thanks for the compliment. Thanks to the rest for the identification. I had never heard of ipe wood.
 
make a simple test... Sand it... Ipe produces a very fine, yellowish dust....any other color ...reddish therefore not Ipe
