What knife did Nicolas Cage use....

I have that knife. Now I'll have to see the movie. Actually, I think it's a piece of junk now that I know more about knives.

It has-
Blade play (and lots!)
A bead-blast finish ( :barf: IMHO)
Mediocre edge retention
Poor action (it's got a HUGE detent in the action that is really aggravating)

And mine has partial serrations and god-knows-what mystery steel (perhaps a 400-something stainless?) I have nothing wrong with the 400's for the most part (I'm a 440C fan myself), but then there's 420J which I consider to be good for those United Cutlery Christmas tree ornaments. And it's made in Taiwan. Ewwwwwwwww :p Also, the blade geometry leaves a lot to be desired. Its shape doesn't make it very good at anything.

But that's just the opinion of someone who doesn't take Gerber very seriously. :D

I reran and paused a bunch of times and knew I had SEEN the thing, but couldn't place it. I....thought.....it looked sorta crummy with those handle extensions that I don't like on a folder, but didn't know.

Thx for answer.

:)

At least it explains why he didn't give a second thought to using it to chip mortar out of a brick wall.

:D

I hoped that the writer would have had him pull out a big Busse sword to hack the wall down and get the glasses, but, didn't happen. ;) :)

On the road to INFI

I just saw National Treasures and made positive ID of the Gerber AR 3.25 too.... man you just know you're a knife nut when you can do that!
