What knife is in your junk drawer?

I thought it'd be cool to see what knife or knives people have in their junk drawer.

I picked this up on the exchange a while back for a great price. It replaced a buck 110 that my wife never cared for. She doesn't necessarily care for the hobby but she does like using this manix 2 around the house.

There are actually several in a box I keep in the drawer with my other knives. The knives and the box are usually gifts from well-meaning friends and relatives received as gifts, or items that have been passed on to me by people that did not know what to do with them.

There is a Pakistani Buck knock off, a few liner lock folders from gas stations or their relatives, and some poor quality traditional folders. I never use them and never carried some of them in the 30 some-odd years I owed some of them.

Not sure why I don't just throw those away. The rest of the collection is in rotation.

An Opinel #8 in stainless. I have a few #8’s spread all over the house, but I always keep one in the junk drawer just in case.

A rough rider Barlow in one, business giveaways in others. An opinal in truck ashtray.

Opinels, Brown Mule, Svord Peasant and a couple scandis. I think there is an old slip joint with a broken back spring.

My junk drawer has a junk knife.

Currently it's a "gas station" crappy folder I got at a yard sale for a dime. At one time it was a Mora blade I got at a Pow Wow with the handle trashed which I then stuck in a file handle.

In other words, a piece of metal I abuse seriously and replace as needed. Most common abuse is cutting a beer/pop can in half to use the bottom for some temporary alchemy. Scraping gunk and using the tip as a screwdriver is not off limits. You get the idea.

Guess what, the Mora blade is in my toolbox and still going strong.

These stick around the kitchen. The kamp king opens packages and breaks down cardboard. The bottom one cuts cheese and meat.

Despite the super cheap handles and low price, the steel isn't bad.

I have top, sock, and shirt drawers and they now have more knives than valet stuff, socks and shirts. So they all have become junk drawers and I have to decide where to place my clothes.

I don't have my knives in a junk drawer, but my wife currently has her Copper Natrix and her ZT0777BW in a junk drawer where I keep scissors, my packing tape applicator and a tape measure.
