What knife would you use to kill a bear?

I would have no fear taking on a 1500lb brown bear without a firearm had I the following: A very well trained battle horse; about six sharp spears, and another six steel tipped javelins; A 125lb draw crossbow with about 20 penetrator bolts; a long katana, armor, a shield, 12 massive trained pit bulls, and a busse gladius. I’d skin and prep the bear with my entrek bison and my rat3 in d2.

This is a Great question!!
Assuming that swords are out, I would use a Great knife hand forged by the very skilled Kamis in Surya Benai, Nepal. (Quick note: I don't work for Himalayan Imports!!)
This knife feels very nice in the hand, even if it is on the large side!
Their blades are so SOLID it is not funny...totally different than so many others out there.
They are well known for Their Rock Solid Khukuri Line, but as You can see by My example, They also make other blades and also do differential tempering when called for. ( I need to Really polish this knife to do the finish justice!) That is a full-size dollar coin for scale.
The history of Himalayan Imports is absolutely fascinating...well worth reading down the page here: http://www.himalayan-imports.com/

It’s not so much the knife used as the armor one is wearing should be able to withstand the immense power of a bear attack. The helmet should cover the face and be tied with chains to the plate armor around the neck and torso.

The Revenant.

That bear scene is just plain scary. Powerfull! The round ball shot didn't do much quickly. I have to say that I would want a knife that is reachable on me in such a situation, but I would probably be just dead.
