What Maker would you pick right now??

Here's the production version of the LCC, which I suppose would be considered a mid-tech by today's standards:

But Lightfoot used to make custom versions about 20 years ago. Hard to find pics today:

For me, the LCC is the perfect design. Fits my hand perfectly, and I love the blade shape/profile/grind. A real slicer. Here's my current Microtech LCC with stonewashed blade and carbon fiber scales:

Now that prices for clean examples are topping $400 on the used market, it kind of makes sense to commission an original from Lightfoot himself.

Michael Burch Mini DAO, I'm on his list but it will be a few years before my name comes up.

Jesse Jarosz 100 with a few unique touches might be my Grail.

And since we're picking two, I'd also love a custom AD-15 from Andrew Demko

Rod Olson, his work and grinds are absolutely amazing, as is his use of the push button lock, the most solid lock up i've ever felt on a push button... it's amazing.

He's been making some real beauties! Between Mr. Olson and the Grimsmo brothers it looks like my next couple folders might be Canadian made.

I'm a big fan of Brian Tighe's designs.

If only he'd make some non-flippers then I'd be happy. Broke but happy :)

I'm wishing the Grimsmo's would open their books again so I could get a custom Norseman, but they're still pretty backed up. Barring that, I'd freaking LOVE another Olamic with their Sheepscliffe blade in Damascus and white G-10/timascus handle combination. I've been watching their Instagram account and they have some real gems on there!!!

That model 17 is killer.

I would have Michael Walker make me a knife (TBH not even sure what I would want) and Ernie Emerson make me a Full Dress Super CQC-6

For a modern.... Im not sure. I like some of Les George's stuff. I would have to do more research

Agree... great knife designer for real world usage. granted, theyre not his customs but my last two purchases were his designs with ZT, the 0909 & 0900.
