What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Nice set. You should try the Japanese Feather blades. Sharpest in the world.

I have some and they are sharp (very sharp!). They work great in a mild razor for me, but anything aggressive...yikes!

This is my daily driver. :D

Hi Charlie,

Shaving is about the only thing you can't (or shouldn't :D) do with this knife!

The blade profile is one of the best, plus I always get a lot of compliments on it.

Most think it must have belonged to my Dad or Grandfather (I'll be 60 soon ).

It's one of my most favorite pocket knives. :)

Happy Thanksgiving & Good Health (to you and your family).

Thanks Del!!
I hope you, SteveC, and everyone here had a great Thanksgiving!!

I am a fan of Barlows, but I consider the standard size a tad shrimpy.

I got me a Schatt & Morgan single spear bladed grand daddy. 4 15/32" closed.
My idea of a good traditional Barlow.

I've been waiting to see that Sardinian version of the Barlow completed!!
Really nice!! Hefty size, great Horn (sanguinata?) handles!! The first of its breed?? I wonder!!??
A beauty, A!!
There's a lot to be said for an exposed pivot rivet. If the knife sees a lot of practical use, it makes servicing very straightforward/easy!!
The multi-threaded configuration is great also - extra grip along with exotic appearance.
It's nice to see some crossover influence too.
Is it "pinch open" or is there a nail nick on the other side, A??
