What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My totin' choice for this Wooden Wednesday was prompted by a beautiful post yesterday by Gevonovich Gevonovich . His Colonial coke bottle folding hunter inspired me to go to the coke bottle pile, where i picked out a similar Continental Cutlery Co. folder.

But I try not to carry identical (or almost identical) knives as my fellow Porch mates, so I switched to a New York Knife Co. Hammer Brand version to tote today, instead. I did steal his idea of a comfortable carry option with an available Case sheath. Thanks, Gev.

That Hammer Brand has so much character...wow !! and what a super sheath...even the snap sings :D

I made the same typo when I posted my Continental..I did correct it ...better go check

Such fantastic knives, Stuart !!! What a treat

Where's Kevin..this all started with his generosity. His pebble ;)

D Duckdog Wowzers Stuart!! You and Gevonovich Gevonovich are to blame for making the coke bottle one of my new favorite patterns. A shadow coke bottle in stag would be awesome.

Gevonovich Gevonovich Thanks for the info on the shell. I’ve no clue about shells. I do have a small collection of shells I’ve picked from the beaches I surf at. That one in the pic I believe IIRC, was from one of my surf trips to Indonesia.

joeradza joeradza They are out there, just gotta get lucky like how I found my Eisenhower pen one lucky day in the sand on a beach.

Very nice indeed Jeff
Thanks, JB!

Wonderous! I don’t recognize the tang stamp... who created it?
Payin’ bills today, don’t want nothin’ too big in case I get depressed and decide to collect on the insurance. ;)

Figure I can’t mortally wound myself with this.

10 years ago we made this one, the third of the Traditional Forum’s knives and one of my favorites. Northwoods medium Stockman in Burnt Stag. IIRC there were only 50 made, this one is # 13.

Very nice!

Jack Black Jack Black The colors on the MOP shadow is beautiful. The shadow pen pattern is so simple and classy and the MOP just adds the elegance.

@Fodderwing Very nice whittler!

Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund Beautiful pair of oldies you have there today.

Gevonovich Gevonovich Me like that kissing crane Congress. The covers are real nice.

Eisenhower pen for me today.

Thank you very much my friend, lovely Case :)

The weather has reached that temperature where I am wearing denim. To commemorate that and Wooden Wednesday, I'm carrying my ebony Presidential.

Cool pic Dean :)

btb01 btb01 - Barrett it's obvious Eleanor is saying - "Daddy please let me carry that bullnose, It goes perfect with my llama shirt!"

Those #15’s with the Scout shield are very cool.

This two blade 14 arrived in today's mail:thumbsup: I knocked down some of the sharp jigging, flitzed the blade etch off and sharpened up and dropped in my front left pocket:)

Interesting stuff, thanks for sharing!

Timely knife :thumbsup::cool:, but that snow is WAY too early :thumbsdown:, Barrett! I wish I could emulate E's adorable attitude. ;)

Thanks, GT! This being my first fall in Minnesota, I have no idea if it’s too early or not. I’ve decided just to roll with the weather as it comes. :D

Canoe of the Week is a Rough Rider "Bolster Stripes" model with bone I consider very attractive:

That’s some good looking bone on that canoe!

Some more pictures from my travels the past few days

The first one was taken on the same stretch of road on US-163 that Forrest Gump decided he was done running. I love that movie and HAD to take a picture :D;)

Took this one today. There is a place just outside of Tuba City AZ that has a bunch dinosaur tracks frozen in time. It was really cool to walk amongst them.

I’ve never chased after any of the Northwoods knives, and for the most part, when I see them here, I don’t regret passing on ‘em, but that Presidential is a different story! What a classy looking knife!

Woodnesday.

Good looking Ebony crew you’ve got there!

Today I’m totin’ a knife that I never expected to have in my pocket: a 2012 PPP TC Barlow in Ebony!  :D
