The "Scimitar Sowbelly."

What a unique and attractive knife!

Will be working outside all day and will be carrying this old Taylors Eye Witness again today .

Good old knife, Harry. A real treasure there.

Just this one for me today! :D

That one should be sufficient, Ron.

Ulster Knife Co. Jack today

That's a cracker jack, Steve.

Carrying the Stallion today, she’s an old Parker-Frost from I’m guessing the 80’s or 90’s, but the scales on it are extremely nice.

I have several Parker Frosts, but not one like that that. A real thoroughbred.

Today as well in my pocket...

Nice, José.

A perfect pocket knife picture.

Well, that's one that you don't see everyday. Very cool.

Well used Ducks Unlimited Case trapper in it's natural environment.

Nice shot of an honest knife. The background look pretty ducky, too.

Thank you Harvey and that's a fantastic image of the ancient one.

Thank you Jack.

Well done, sir.

Quite a captivating canoe in the cattails.

Kabar/CSC dog's head stockman. Found it collecting dust on a dealer shelf earlier this year :D

Classic cutlery.

Robeson pen

A very fine swell center serpentine pen, Nick. Again with the tip bolsters!

Misplaced Hillbilly Misplaced Hillbilly David, somehow i dropped you magnolia picture, but I do want to note its beauty and the lovely fruit that it held.

These two for Tuesday:

Morning folks, pocketing these two today ;)

Luminous lambsfoot and an illustrated barlow - what a illuminating pair, Jack!!

It definitely caught my eye right away when I saw it on the bay, $17 and a week later now it's mine.
I think I've seen the brass bolster Imperial or Craftsman branded version pop up once or twice in this thread over the past few years but certainly not often and never the backpacker that I can recall.

I really love the thin and slim ffg trailing point blade, it would probably make a great folding bird and trout.

I've got a new one to ride with the Camillus today. This is a Case Mini Trapper in Stag Bone and stainless steel. I bought a couple of new Case knives in Tru-Sharp for the upcoming summer months, when I typically have massive rust issues. The Camillus hopefully won't be a problem, as I'll be using it and maintaining it every day. But I need a couple of other knives for the nightstand, that I won't have to worry about so much.

I honestly haven't been able to buy a bad Case knife lately. This Mini-Trapper is as sweet as the others I've recently tried. No spring gaps. Well centered blades. Pulls of between 4 and 5 with decent snap. Nice thin grinds of .018" to .020", with a wharncliffe that isn't too fragile at the tip. Not a hint of blade wobble. Best of all, the bone on this knife is wonderful. Good jigging and subtle coloring on bone that swells nicely at the center. The scales are much thicker than yellow Delrin or the usual Case jigged bone, and both covers match well in style and thickness. This bone stag gives you an amazing grip on a comparatively small folder. I really can't think of a bad thing to say about my Mini-Trapper. It's very nicely made, and the compliment of blades is extremely functional.

Great mini trap.
I have two case minis but with caplifters instead of wharncliffes. I agree, they are great little knives. F&F and blade centering is spot on

Thanks Stuart... The sheepfoot is certainly different. I really liked that scimitar shape, which is why I picked it up. It's a Bulldog from 1995 and has celluloid scales (that haven't exploded yet ). ~Don

Those 2 beautiful knives just go together very well r8shell r8shell .

Harry

So lovely, r8shell. A whiter shade of pale.
Thank you.

Had the white pair in pocket today :D

The 78 actually is actually starting to get a bit yellow by now
Another fine pair! I like the way white bone mellows to an old ivory.

I'm totin' a tiny pair for this Twosday, but they pack a lot into 2.75". Both have swedged clips with long pulls, and solid construction. A John Primble (Böker built) 5390 stockman from 1940-1968 and a Schrade Walden 34OT stockman from 1946-1973.

I recently discovered the Primble in a box with some others, but had to find him a friend of his own size to travel with in a pocket.

That bone jigging is fantastic.
Thanks Stuart.

Lamplough Cutlery is a new one to me. Very nice.
Sometimes I need more than a pocket knife! I made this veggie chopper out of an old carbon steel mower blade.
Not real pretty, but it’s mine:DView attachment 1094620
Fantastic. It looks very useful.

I switched things up with an odd pairing today. A Boker Anso design, and a Wright & Son Sheffield Peach Pruner, a gift from Jack Black.

Thank you. I haven't been able to find out much. Lamplough Cutlery Ltd is in Montreal. Very little else so far.
I love the peach pruner Jack gave you. I assume it's horn? It's so translucent!
