Im carrying my GEC 48 improved trapper in pickle green jigged bone today, I needed a fancy knife for my college graduation. My other knife is a modern buck that my wife had engraved for me so I carry it on special occasions.

This 1 today I got inspired.
While the wife & I were watching tv last night, I was on my phone looking at alox swiss army knives.
Thinking I wouldn't mind 1 of the fancy limited editions, maybe a 2016 violet as I could pick 1 up cheap. So I thought I'ld show the wife.
    It went

me; This is alright, what you think?
wife: Yeah but don't you have 2 swiss army already?
me; (quick mental maths, quick steer her away:eek:) Yeah something like that but I don't have an alox.
wife; SURE, with a big grin on her face.

I think the hesitation in answering gave it away:oops:. The wife is a good sport, just doesn't get why we need more than 1 but supports it's it anyway.

Going to stick (no pun intended!) with wood for Thursday:
New rosewood lambsfoot, A. Wright & Son, Sheffield; and
    Case cocobolo peanut.

Check out Vincent's Pub in the old hotel.
We were visiting my wife's sister and her husband in Atlanta, but I wanted to spend a few days somewhere new on the way home, and I found Jekyll Island. Great place!

    Thanks, guys.

Yep, that's about right. And, yet, I have relatives who still farm about 400 acres just south of the base (though surrounded by malls and housing developments).

Worked in the yard all day to clear out bamboo. I baled up the canes with twine and needed this guy, a Schrade 163. Go big with bamboo. What a day!

I allways thought that while the Fox/Bastinelli friction folder is a fine knife, there was something that irritated me. So I took out the dremel and did the deed. The blade shape can still be refined.
