Very nice, what size is the plane? Looks pretty small, a No. 2?
Yep, it’s a no. 2. I thought it was neat looking next to the knife given how little it is

What part of Philly did you live? My wife Kathi is from Northeast Philly and I lived off of Rhawn Street.Pure carbon like black snow!
When I was very young, and living in Phillie, the snow that piled up between the sidewalk and street would turn black from car exhaust. I would take a stick and draw lines, breaking through the crust of soot. The bright white lines exposed were striking. Reverse scrimshaw!
I always enjoy watching patina develop, and I'm fascinated to see what the bolster will look like. They are of the same steel as the blade, but differently heat treated. Will that effect patina formation?
Will the HHB help clean fish? Have a great time!
Wowwee wow wow! You ain't kidding about "all the trimmings"!
What is that knife under the rams foot?

Well, my family refers to "when we lived in Philadelphia" but it was actually a suburb in Lower Merion. What part of Philly did you live? My wife Kathi is from Northeast Philly and I lived off of Rhawn Street.
