The rod is a Fenwick lunkerstik of my grandfathers I rehandled with some cork and Tennessee rings.
The Shakespeare 2052EC is such an awesome reel, solid as all get out and built to last.
American craftsmanship at it's finest.
The hardened steel gears and worm drive make for a very smooth reel that just won't quit, generally single bearing reels aren't as smooth.
