Would really like to se them be able to duplicate some of the jigging from the early part of the 20th century, companies like Schrade, New York knife and Challenge really did some incredible bone.
I would also like to see a large run of 38 Whittlers and Farmers jacks.
I'd like to see some 68s or 57s again. A nice sturdy farmer's jack on the 57 frame with a rooster comb secondary instead of a regular budding blade - wouldn't this be awesome? More modern steels would be great too.
Some of the options seem to be happening already: new patterns and larger runs. Personally I need a rest from the frenzy I undertook this year. The only GEC that might tempt me is a steak knife set in stainless steel for my family.
I’m looking forward to the 29s... three springs and all. Wouldn’t mind snakewood or other premium covers on said knife.
Putting a keen edge on a “maybe” Christmas present, watching it rain and enjoying coffee
I'm still waiting for the #35 440C scout, after I guess I'm after good stainless and new patterns, assuming that we call a scout a new pattern. If not, I'd like to see more artistic looking classic jigging.
Take that 35 pattern and make a Cattle Knife!!!! Put some good jigging on it, spear blade, Sheepsfoot, and Pen or Punch. Long nail nicks and don't polish the blades up!
I've not bought a new knife in awhile. This would break me.
I vote for a pattern like a saddlehorn and a sowbelly. I like my girls with curves.
And stainless.
Although this is probably unrealistic for GEC, a build your own knife option, Like a GEC custom shop, would be wonderful.
