Last one for a while (I grind the blades outside during the summer and finish handles in the garage during colder months)

Realized a while ago that I kinda like Winterbottom bone and how Queen did it. Since I can't buy 'em new anymore, I decided to make my own :cool:
Found out real fast however that this type of jigging tends to chip a lot! ...Had to fix a couple mistakes along the way ;)

+/- 7" OAL Aeb-l blade at 61 HRC with 800 grit satin finish
Winterbottom bone
Nickel Silver bolsters
Brass pin and tube

I've been meaning to clean up this 20 year old Windlass boar spear with my botched teenage sharpening job for a LOOOOONG time, lol. Regrind, convex to zero on the blade, scotchbrite on the rest...edged the backside of the wings for a cut on return...just a lazy afternoon project:D
