Ya I have one or two somwhere. Forced myself to dig most of them out this winter for oiling. What a pain in the arse. Never did get the stuff in bags or the trunk.

I believe that is the snake knot. Some knife people call it the Chris Reeves knot. I clip the loose ends, and make mine much shorter,. I do use them to pull my knife out of my pocket.
You can see Youtube instructional videos to learn how to make these. I use just under 12 inches of paracord to make one. I have them on most of my stuff.
