I am trying to decide on the purcase of a Condor or similiar pack for daily carry. I am just curious as to what everyone carries in there pack that makes it worth having. I am a full time student so I have a messenger bag for carrying my school books and such around. When I am not in school I just go out with what I carry in my pockets. Honsetly I can't really think of much else that I would really want to have in a pack I carry around with me.

I mean I have stuff that I would throw in a pack if I regularly carried one, but I can also get along just as well without it. Examples would be magazines or books if I ever need to stand around waiting. Maybe an MP3 player or CD player and headphones too. Don't have a laptop or PDA, so that isn't really an option, though I would like to get one. I guess I would also throw in a writing pad of some sort, as I already carry a pen but no paper unless I am at school or work. I guess a full size multi tool would also be in there, and possibly a bigger or longer lasting light.

The thing is all of that stuff would be nice, and most likely come in handy, BUT it wouldn't come close to filling a pack such as the Condor. So it would seem stupid to be walking around with this large(ish) pack with just a multi-tool, flashlight, pad, and magazine.

Erik, Not too long ago I posted some pics of the Condor and Vulture with stuff and descriptions. I'd do the Condor for school .
But a recent thread about maxpedition bags had the Vulture up a bit from some guys that use it on school.
A search for Maxpedition in this forum will yield lots of good stuff.

Guess I wasn't that clear in my original post, I don't want another bag for school. I have my school books, pens, calculator, etc. in my school bag. That stuff can stay there, as the bag has worked just fine for the past 3-1/2 years. I am looking into getting a pack for when I am not in school, and will just be going out for other reasons.
