whats the best way to carry a case trapper?

i just bought my first case trapper i hand the kinda equivalent buck for the longest time, the case is longer though and does not carry the same,i was wondering how you all carry yours?

I often carry mine in a clip slip from collector knives. Here's a picture with it holding an opinel I took for sizing for another BF member but the boker trapper sticks out about the same. This is the largest size they had and fits really well. I carry the trapper around the house a lot in shorts and PJs without pockets so the clip slip has been very nice.

I carry most knives in my back pocket sitting upright alongside my wallet. I've tried about every other way there is and I like that way best.

Let me say this about that :
I have a few of these; SAK leather belt pouch with leather covered metal clip. I fold the flap back and tuck it in a handy slot that holds it pretty well.

These work for a number of smaller knives to

And finally there is the ammo clip belt Pouch. I use it for all kinds of knives from my Trappers to my Benchmade Griptillian, Cold Steel Ti Lites . . . lots of knives.

And finally, finally there is the Case Pouch made for the Trapper. It even says Trapper on the flap.
I use it but put mole skin over the back of the snap to protect the knife and tighten up the fit.

them leather belt pouches are pretty cool looking where did you get them at?
 
Take a look at @Horsewright web page. It’s in his signature line, last I checked. He makes some cool buckaroo pouches that are sized just right for a Case Trapper. I have two, and they work great.

You could probably find them anywhere that sells a good selection of Swiss Army Knives. They are Swiss Army knife pouches with the cross embossed in the flap.
I bought them on the "world's largest selection" (same name as one of the top two longest rivers).
 
To me, even with my normal fairly baggy pants, a full size Trapper feels like a two by four teetering in the bottom of my pocket across my leg.

That is the case for me anytime I put a knife in my front pocket whether it's big or small, so to alleviate that I put a semi wadded up bandana in the same pocket to keep the knife upright. It works very well.
 
I'm in the pocket carry crowd, I regularly carry a RR grand daddy barlow and its a bit over 5 inches. sometimes you can find decent pouches cheap at flea markets and yard sales. I had a girlfriend in high school that carried one(trapper) in her brao_O I'd forgot about that until I read this thread lol, that mode is probably best left to the women folk

Golly! I can't imagine (and don't need to know) how you discovered this in high school! Do you mean she was carrying full sized trapper or a Daddy Barlow? A most impressive mode of carry for either.
 
For years I carried my Case trapper in my back pocket next to my wallet. Then I got a new wallet and the knife would no longer fit. I switched to a belt pouch carry. I am now looking for a smaller wallet. I keep reaching in my back pocket for a knife that is not there.

First AJ Welcome to the Porch and congrats on your new knife there's just something special about a yeller Case. :thumbsup::cool:
As far as carry regardless of size I carry most of the time in my front pocket if I do carry in a sheath I usually use a GEC belt pouch.
