Whether it be serious or a joke, whats the largest folder you've ever seen or heard of? that is somehow relatively similar to a pocket knife design, not some sort of axe or strange sword.

The Opinel 13 has an OAL of 20" with ~ 9" blade.

The espada xl is a monster. I was looking at them online with a guy I work with. He was being a smart rear end when he asked why it was called sword in Spanish. We then saw one at a local gun show. It is a sword. Can't imagine carrying anything that big. Hard to believe there are bigger folders, but not that surprising I guess.

I bought a Lone Wolf T3 (by mistake) thinking it was a T2 Ranger and let me tell you that the T3 Ranger is one BIG beautiful folder. It's 101/2" opened with a 5" blade.

From britishblades.com Its a stinking monster. I can see no practical use for it though haha.
Here's a Spanish Navaja apparently from the late 18th century. It's more than 73" long overall, 1.85m.

I just got one of the black bear intimidators. That thing rocks. Super duper beefy. A pocket machete.

The Ontario Hossom Retribution 1, 4.265" N690Co Cobalt enhanced stainless steel blade .200" thick, Mircata handle 6" long, titanium liners, OAL 10.625".

Largest folder I've owned, or will: Darrell Ralph-designed Camillus CUDA Maxx 5.5 Titanium frame-lock with 5.5" of beautiful D2steel. It is just short of 12 inches, IIRC.

When you look at the 18th century Spanish Navaja above, you quickly realize there's nothing absurd about the CS XL Espada [which I have and admire] at all. In fact you could argue that it's quite restrained in size.
The Spanish Navajas were really a very ingenious way for the lower classes to defend themselves against the predatory sword carrying rich. [ The song goes; "tax the rich until there ain't no rich no more", even better; use a Navaja on the bxstxrds]

I saw one on you tube a while back. It was called a traditional Sicilian folding knife, and it looked to be about 3 feet long opened up. I looked for one on Google and was unable to find one.
