It's law now.
What is it's major powers?
Will it expire? Who voted it into law?
What do you advise since it's law now?
Does it or will affect me and my "rights" in any way to own a firearm or knife?
 
Goos question. It is supposed to expire, although I am not sure of the exact date. Of course the expiration date can be extended. It has been my experience that most laws once on the books never go away. I do know that it gives law enforcement a much greater scope as far as wire taps, etc. I think the average person won't be very effected by it.
