Hi Guys,

I've been reading around the forum for a couple of weeks as it seems the place on the web to find out about all things knife related.

I was discussing knife sharpening with my folks, as I need my wedding knives sharpened, and I said it's a shame no-one comes around door2door offering the service. My Dad said that a bloke used to go round years ago with a sharpener on his bike, and sharpen sets of knives for households.

I thought this might be a good service to offer - at least for a little 'pocket' money - but having read around I'm just not sure which wheel would be the best for the speed of pedal power, and the fineness of the general household kitchen knife.

This is the kind of thing I'd like to set up...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bx_PkNIfK4

Any tips would be hugely appreciated... and don't worry I won't just be launching myself out there - I want to get good at this before anything.

Many thanks,

M
