I see chefs using these on tv, and they seem so much sharper than steel, almost effortless to cut through big cuts of meat.

Is this generally true?

I guess they dont go blunt either? Does anyone know where I can buy a set. Also I know they are not cheap, do you think they are worth the extra price ?

This is probably not the best place to ask the question. The General Forum might be better.

They're not sharper than steel, people just don't keep their steel sharp. Ask any sushi chef if they use a ceramic blade and they'll just laugh. Also, once they become dull (they will), you either need to be a sharpening GOD to bring them back, or send them back to the factory.

Personally, I found ceramic to be "chippy", and the last thing I want in my GI tract is razor sharp ceramic chips. I'll play devils advocate as well and say that I really didn't pay much for the one ceramic knife I bought. Way less than a nice steel kitchen knife.

They are all over Ebay. I sharpen them for customers but won't use them myself for the reasons Cypress has noted.
If you have to get one. Try one of the paring knife size.
