Hi all, I'm a newcomer to butterfly knives and just wanted to know where I could get some either within the UK or delivered intl the UK. I'm not sure how legal this is and would appreciate any info or advice.

I'm particularly interested in all chrome/silver ones. Can you suggest a few top models I can start looking at.

Thanks

Ps some of the pictures on this board are impressive. I cant wait to start my collection.

Hello Simon and very welcome, this is a great place!

Bali-songs are to my knowledge very illegal in the UK

But if we play with the thought that you'd order one from this addres:Bali-songs for sale! then you would have the best quality there is, and it will last a loooong time, but of course that's just theory...

Try www.knifezilla.com , and look at the silver handled Jaguar. You'll need to replace the pins in a few days, but after that it should hold up well. Granted, you can find the Jag cheaper other places, but it seems KZ ships places others won't (like the UK). Talk to them and explain your situation. E

Simon,
If you e-mail me I can help you with this,as a knife collector for many years, importing into the UK is a minefield for anyone starting out.
Keith.

I am told that both knifezilla and http://www.onestopknifeshop.com will ship balisongs disassembled. While I don't know about UK law specifically, generally in countries that prohibit the importation of balisongs, it is not illegal to import balisong parts. It's a bit of a loophole.

Since the balisongs we're talking about are Jaguars (though look for them under "Dragon Forged" at onestopknifeshop), you're gonna end up reassembling the knife shortly even if you do get it assembled. So, why not just get it in pieces and reassemble it to begin with?
