I don't know what the deal is. Banana Republic, Gap, Dockers only go up to 34" now. This wasn't a problem until recently. Any of you tall guys out there know where to get kaki's?

36" inseam? dang. I am 6'2" and a 32" inseam is a little long on me. You must be really tall.

That being said, try a big and tall store. I usually need to pick up shoes and dress shirts (so I can move my arms, you know!) there.

Yeah. balmer here. I should go up there. Thanks.

roughedges, I'm 6'4". guess I got long legs. Plus I like em a little longer.

Before you give up on those "34 inch" inseam pants, try them on first. Used to be, I would have to have at least a 36" inseam, but there seems to be no standardization anymore. Now, I can go to a store and try on a pair of 34" inseam pants and they fit. If you DO manage to find a pair of pants marked 36" inseam anymore, you'll probably find them to be too long.

I'm a six footer and for years I wore a 32 inseam. The last pair of Duckheads I bought where way to long. I pulled out my tape and measured the inseam and it was 32. I then got out an older pair of Duckheads that fit and measured the inseam. 32 Hmmm. I then measured from the wasit down the fly to the center of the crotch. The new pants where two inches longer in the crotch. So the inseam started two inches lower. I took them back and got 30's and they fit. I wonder if this is going on across lots of brands as Americans get bigger (read fatter) in general.

Please take this in a good spirit--have you tried bumping up the waist size on your pants by one or two sizes so that they ride lower? I used to wear 34X36s until I realized that I actually needed 36X34s or even 38X34s.

I've been getting mine from Lands end for years with 36 inseam. Oh, and unless you're wearing yours "hoodie" style, you'll need "long rise".

Can't find slacks in a 36" inseam out here, either, other than Levi's... I wear 32"x36" in Levi's and they're the only ones with enough drape without going to expensive un-hemmed slacks and paying for the right length...

I also wear a 36" inseam, and I need the regular rise rather than the long. The only places I have been able to consistently find regular rise/36" inseam kahki's and jeans are Land's End and Eddie Bauer. I now buy from Eddie Bauer because of the two-for one sales they frequently have.

As far as jeans try dickies. i used to wear only levis but i have been very pleased with the price, fit, and style for my work jeans(which are pretty much my everday wear regardless). Relaxed fit very comfy lots of room for your parts and they can be had in almost any size.

neno, maybe you aren't wearing your pants correctly. Just pull your boxer shorts up to your armpits and wear your pants down below your butt. The 34's should work fine if you wear them this way and you will look quite stylish in an urban chic kind of way... ;)

I wear a 30x34 in jeans and a 31x34 in dress pants. Jeans are easy to find, but 34" inseams in dress pants only come in 32" and bigger waist sizes now. One way or the other, my dress pants have to be altered.

By the way, I'm 5'11" and 170#, so please don't call me skinny (bicycles and working out do strange things to a body)!

Ha. You think you guys have problems. I wear 32X40 jeans! Luckily, I like wrangler, and they make em in my size. I'm only 6'3" tall too, all legs
I got the jeans figured out. Now its just a matter of everything else not fitting, cars don't have enough leg room. Can't fold the desks down at school. None of the horses I've bred so far have ended up tall enough for me to ride

Not making fun, sorry for going OT, but Matt, have you ridden draft horses, like Clydesdales for instance? Also, a friend of mine is 6'9", and he rode horses into his 20's.

Nope, never ridden a draft horse. My dad used to have a team, but I never got the urge to get on their backs :D The problem isn't really finding a horse big enough for me to ride, its finding a horse big enough for me to ride that can do what I want to do with it. I show quarter horses in reining, which takes a really agile, powerful horse. The good ones tend to be fairly short and stocky, and while they can carry me fine....people tend to think I look kind of funny with my feet hanging down to their knees

I'll second/third Land's End. I still have a pair or two that I have been wearing for almost 9 years now, they cost a little more, but last a lot longer. 38/36 long rise, I'm 6'-4". They also have incredible CS.

they're made here in Seattle... but on a scrawny (6'1", 165#'s wet) pale dude :barf: from the Northwest who likes to ride a bicycle, I just don't wanna scare the wimmin away or cause a car crash!!! LOL!!! :D

I'll stick w/Levi's or old fatigue pants, circa '68 jungle issue...
