Where do women wear/carry their knives?

For men, the procedure is simple. You either clip it to your side-pocket, put it in a sheath tagged to your belt or have it on a tek-lock (horizontal carry) behind your back.

But what about women, those who carry knives? If they want to clip a knife - where? If they wear pants, okay, that's a straightforward answer. What if a woman is wearing a dress with a blouse?

If you put it in your handbag or purse while attending a dinner or in some high-class restaurant, rapid deployment probably should be the furthest thing from your mind.

Would I be wrong in saying, women have fewer knife-carrying options than men?

Seems to me that I've heard of clipping it onto a bra. :D Dunno how accessible this would be, though, as I've never tried it.

clipped to her pants just like a guy. I couldn't tell you the last time I saw her wear a dress.

My Wife carries her BM 555 clipped to the inside smaller pocket of her purse. This way it always in the same place as opposed to floating around in the bottom of the purse.;)

I think, perhaps, you've got the wrong idea, or maybe the right idea backwards. Your statement runs contrary to the nature of womanhood itself.

First, let's set a ground rule.

If a woman carried a knife, she is likely to want only one. (just shouting harsh generalizations here, ok? :footinmou ) She would likely not be interested in carrying more than one at a time anyway. So, it's not that there are not enough options, but rather, too many. ;)

Does the word "accessorize" mean anything?

The only problem is that there are not enough "cute" knives to go around. Or else they would definitely turn into an accessory. I say we put in a call to Gucci...

I would think, actually, that men are ones limited by carrying options. Really we only have two options: Belt, or pocket.

Once a knife becomes an accessory (for a woman) the options are endless.

Just think about it.

(and imagine the marketing ads... )

My ex-girlfriend carried either her Spyderco Dragonfly or Delica IWB.
If she was wearing a dress then it would go into her handbag.

Those are the only carry options that she ever considered and utilized.

Another good lady friend of mine carries a G10 Police IWB always and a ususally a Gunting drone either IWB or in a Skunkworks sheath.

the bra works!
My wife carried a Endura there concealed at a garden party,
no prob!
want to see pics ?

just dream on!

I use a Carson F-4 neck knife. That way it doesn't matter whether I'm wearing a dress or not. It is also sheeple friendly as most people don't really notice it (or think it is an odd necklace).

One quick tug on the lanyard and it is out of the sheath and hidden in the palm of my hand so fast, the action isn't really noticible. From there it affords a good last-resort slashing defense.

I occasionally have a knife in my pocketbook, and always have two on my keychain laynard.

I guess I never really think about clipping a knife to my pocket.

First try was a Delica, (but how do YOU know    )

but soon we learned the Endura is OK too! :D

My girlfriend carrys here stainless delica iwb just to the right of her belly button.

Oh so sexy:eek:

I carry mine IWB, clipped to pocket, or on bra. I "bra carry" only rarely but it's really not a bad way to carry.

My wife carries her multicolored Boa in her pocket. She has a CRKT large mirage in her purse. When she jogs, she carries either a Liveay Woo or SOP, or a CRKT neck peck.

She said she'd never clip a knife to her bra because there's too much in it already!

I seen a small fixed blade that went in a garter sheath, it was from the early colonial days in Australia ie early 1800's. It was something that the ladies of the night wore, I imagine it encouraged payment at times and discouraged rough handling.

is it me or is there an abundance of  smileys in this thread :p. but my ex used to have a little trapper in her purse that i gave her, guess that would be the easiest place to put it.

My Wife clips a Spyderco Navagator inside her purse and puts a Spderco Cricket in her pocket.

My girlfriend only carries a ladybug in her purse....it seems that she was doing really well with some of the larger knives until she nicked herself...now it's only the Ladybug. Hell, if I quit knives after I cut myself once I wouldn't have been here 5 minutes.

My wife carries her medium plain-edge clip-point Cold Steel Voyager in a coin-purse that's in her purse.

At work, my wife carries a Purple Microtech UDT on her belt in the standard MT sheath. Outside of work , she carries a Kershaw Rainbow Leek in its standard issue pouch in her purse.
