Where to buy quality 3rd party strap for Omega Seamaster?

All,

What are the recommended 3rd party providers for a strap to fit on a 2007 Bond Seamaster? I'm mostly interested in rubber and leather right now, maybe a sea-worthy blue shark strap if I can find one.

I currently have the watch on the OEM steel bracelet, and I find that the buckle is a bit too fragile for my lifestyle. It's weakening where it connects to the bracelet, to the point that there's a visible gape when closed. It's the second buckle that does that and I want to give a shot to a strap, which might be a bit more elastic.

Thank you,

Joss

There are literally thousands of places you can choose. The main thing you need to be concerned about is the width of the strap. If I had to guess of the top my head I think the Seamaster the 22 mm?

Any 20mm strap will fit. I suggest a deployant clasp rather than a tang buckle; you're less likely to drop the watch. Other than that, it's just a matter of taste....

I have several leather straps from different makers. A few places you might check out are Gunny Straps, SNPR straps, Kain Heritage and Greg Stevens Design. I've been pleased with all of their leather work. As for buckles I'm currently using the "Henchmen II" from 8Artisans. Depending on the strap and buckle, check out the "Strapsmith", he does some custom buckle work.

I like hirsch, I picked up one of their leather straps for a dress watch and dyed the stitching....excellent quality, but not a deployant clasp like cougar mentioned, which is sort of necessary for both aesthetics and function on an Omega, no?

I am thinking of getting one of Rob Montana's straps for my Sub. The Vintage 2 series looks great.

Those custom straps are all very nice, but they're not for me. First, I want something that's completely waterproof. Second, they're too thick and big. They probably look great on a big guy with a Panerai, but on my wrists they would be clownesque.

Do yourself a favor and look into Isofrane. One of the best (if not the best) rubber dive straps. If I am not mistaken, they are oem on quite a few Omegas.

Not cheap; but neither is an oem Omega strap. And for the that matter, why not get something of superb quality to match a superb timepiece?

Also, a Bond Seamaster may be 22mm so you had better double check that.

And a year and a half later....

Finally placed my order for an Isofrane. It should come in the next 2 weeks.
