Where to buy small amounts of paracord??

Okay so I want some 550 paracord in a variety of colors but I really don't need 50 or 100 feet of it. Does anyone know any online retailers that sells 550 paracord in lengths of 20' or less? Or better yet, by the foot even? Thanks in advance!

You don't have any local army surplus stores in your area? I live in a small(ish) town, and my small local a.s. store has about 16 colors to choose from and will cut it in whatever length you want.
 
There are lots of retailers on ebay selling 25 foot lengths for around 5 dollars. I'd stick to the ones shipping from the US.
 
wow 5 bucks for 25 feet? what a rip, I get 100 foot lengths for $10 from knivesshipfree. never hurts to have a bit extra!
 
The last time I saw short lengths of 550 was at the gun show. It was "authentic" parachute line, so said the lady selling it. $2 for 20', so I got one.
 
You're going to pay more for it than pre packaged, but some outfitters stores will sell you paracord by length. The only ones that I have found near me are a small outfitter in downtown Frederick MD, and the local REI.
 
Go on flea bay and type "paracord" in the search. Should be the first seller on the list. He has 49 colors and sells for $4 and some change for 50ft sections. Shipping is not bad either. I just purchased 7 50ft hanks. Cost me $36 including shipping.
 
REI sells paracord cut to pretty much any length you want.

Is there a REI store nearby?
 
Thanks for all the help guys. Again, I don't need or want to spend the money on 50 or 100 feet of paracord. Looks like lighthound.com is the ticket (thanks Cosmo7809) or my local REI. I thought for sure there would be more online retailers that would sell paracord by the foot though.
 
I'll second the REI suggestion. I picked up 50ft for ~$5. They had quite a few different colors when I was in my local REI.
 
Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware): I take it you are looking for 7 strand 550 cord, correct?
I have the feeling that some of this is that cheapie stuff that has loose fibers in the core.
The 7-strand is the only cord you should be getting; otherwise, it's just some look-alike crap that will fail when you really need it.
Just my 2 cents.
