I am looking the the absolute lowest prices from a reputable online knife store which carries quality tactical folders.

In my searching thus far I can say that none of the online knife shops have the lowest prices on all knives. Some are cheaper on some knives while others will be cheaper on other knives 1StopKnifeShop has had great service and as good pricing as anyone.

We try to have great and the best prices all the time but that is impossible. We will meet or beat any price and offer great service but there are many dealers who are as good if not better than us.

The internet is a small family of dealers. Pick the one that you feel can offer you the best service over all and stick with them.

Guess where I buy 99 percent of my online knives?
Their service IS great.
My only complaint is that often, 1sks ships in a soft pouch and the manufacturer's box gets mashed up in transit.
Makes it hard to say the knife is NIB when the box is beat to death.

To be fair, other internet knife shops ship in soft packs too. It keeps shipping costs down.

The box of my BM710 Axis from Discount Knives looked like it had come via Beirut, and then a stop-over at the San Diego Zoo where a gorilla jumped up and down on the box.

Actually a gorilla didn't touch it, but a dumb ape did: a customs officer!

I generally deal with three online stores, and www.toptexknives.com has the lowest overall prices. They have very low prices on Benchmades and Spydies--don't let the prices on the Spydies trick ya though, toptex can't show the real prices for some reason or another so you have to e-mail them to get the real prices. Of course, different stores have lower prices for different knife companies. Is there a knife in particular that you're interested in?

I can't say that they have the absolute lowest prices overall, but try www.dantesknife.com. I've had good luck with them.

Unfortunately, life does not work this way. No knife store has the absolute lowest prices. Some stores will offer better prices than others on some items some of the times.

Shop around and support the Bladeforums shop when you can.

If you want knives for the best price, go to 1sks, join "Code 3 pricing" and the "Associate program". You end up getting the best prices on the net plus you support Bladeforums.

Ken,

The forum costs a lot to run, and profit from 1SKS does provide a majority of the funding to run the forum, but you are naive if you think 100% of the profit goes to support Bladeforums.com.

Full Tang Clan,

Shipping in soft pouches is an easy way to save $1 and is faster than wrapping in a cardboard box. I always use cardboard boxes but don't have anywhere near the volume of 1SKS.

Mike,

How's your Corvette doing?

Agree with your statement 100%. There are lots of good dealers on the internet today and a few great ones. Find one and stick with them. Many buyers will hunt for hours on the internet to save $2 (I used to do this too) but when it comes time for service after the sale you will be much better off if you have established a long term relationship with your dealer.

Ken,

We no longer use those soft packs. We stopped about a month ago and UPS supplies us with hard boxes for next day and second shipments now. We found the company who makes the boxes for the USPS and we have several pallets of those on the way.

Cheif,

No one said 100% of the profits go to BladeForums. All sales do support the forums and my Corvette was bought in May of 98, which was before BladeForums or 1SKS existed. It is doing fine BTW

Thanks for all the support guys it does help me justify the cost of running this thing.

Myke (since you continue to misspell Chief),

In my opinion, it is slick wording to say "all sales support Bladeforums.com". Some folks might interpret that to mean that 1SKS sales are the only financial support that Bladeforums.com receives or that profit from all 1SKS sales goes to Bladeforums. It is the word "all" that I am hung up on. Actually its pretty smart wording, but still slick, in my opinion.

Since I am a banner advertiser here (aren't I due to reup my banner again soon?) maybe I could post that slogan on my site too, since a portion of all of my sales (however small that portion might be) also support Bladeforums.com. How would you feel about me using it?

Chief (spelled it right this time

),

Feel free to use that on your site if you like. I have no problem with it. But you will find that the only place I use it is in my posts here and not on my site. Why you would want to put it on your site is beyond me.

As you can now see I have removed the word "All" that you were hung up on. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Next time I will be a little slicker

Hey Chief?
Are you just lookin' for something to argue about?
Gee golly! I'm an all the way grown up BIG boy and not for a second did I believe that ALL income from 1sks went to support Bladeforums.
"A portion of all sales goes to support BFC.."
Seemed pretty clear and accurate to me.
Perhaps you wouldn't have found me so naive if I'd mentioned Chief's Cutlery?
Not "Dissin'" you at all, just haven't gotten around to trying your "shop" out yet.
Gimme time.
(So many knives, so little time!)

(Going to 1SKS to check prices on that Spydie Native I've been looking at!)

Ken,

Maybe not everyone is as worldly as you are and my opinion is that some could misinterpret Mike's signature. I'm not looking for an arguement but your quote is inaccurate, nowhere in Mike's signature block did it say "a portion" like your quote says, it said "ALL". Mike has changed his signature to clarify and even thrown in a plug for banner advertisers (Thanks Mike).

Even though you may be a BIG boy, don't feel obligated to stick up for Mike, he is a BIG boy himself and Mike and I have resolved this issue. If you are looking for an arguement, please take it to private E-mail.

Well damn it I am looking for one. Would someone please start a damn arguement? I think I am going through Mad Dog withdrawls
