This may be the best customer service I've ever received...
Purchased a Spyderco Stretch on Amazon through a third-party seller White Mountain Knives. I've dealt with them in the past mostly on eBay and I'd never had a problem. They typically sell brand new knives, but the Stretch was sold as "new with no box". Here's the message I sent to them today when the knife arrived:
That was my entire message. I did not ask for anything. I was just giving them feedback (privately, I've never posted negative feedback publicly). And here was their reply 8 minutes later....
WHAT!?!? At most I was expecting maybe an offer to return the knife which I probably wouldn't have even bothered doing. My email to them was really just for feedback, as all sellers should appreciate so they can improve their businesses.
I will certainly not hesitate to purchase from them in the future. Unbelievable.

Order ID 114-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:
1 of Spyderco Stretch Lightweight plain Edge Knife,Black [ASIN: B002FSGYNM]
I have made several purchases from White Mountain Knives, both on Amazon and eBay and have always been pleased. This knife's condition was stated as "new with no box". The knife arrived today and I immediately noticed obvious wear on the cutting edge in the form of dull flat spots near the belly and tip of the blade. I can easily sharpen the edge, but I just wanted to share my disappointment that the quality of the knife was overstated in the description. Truly brand new versions of this knife can be purchased for about $10 more, so [in] this case I think the knife was overpriced given the fact that it's truly used.

Hi Seth,
I apologize. I posted it too quickly without properly inspecting the knife.
I will refund half of your money back through Amazon.
Thanks for the business,
Justin
