White River Knives Fillet Knives at USA Made Blade

Very nice knives. I had purchased the 6" traditional fillet (from another dealer) and felt the handle was a bit large for the blade length, just my opinion. I would have preferred it smaller though some may like it. The folks at White River were nice enough to exchange it for the 8" model which felt better in the hand. The cork is nice as it floats, and is very light. I sealed the handle when new with U40 cork sealant which was made for rod handles. The blades on these are thin stock and sharpen very easily. They hold an edge pretty well. As the pictures show they are very pointed. Important not to drop the knife or damage the tip. They come with a nice leather sheath which "buttons" on the top of the handle to secure the knife. With leather it's important to be sure knife is clean and dry before inserting blade into the sheath, and to keep the sheath dry, otherwise you may end up with rust on the blade, (even with 440C) May be a bit pricey for a knife with 440C, but a very nice dedicated fillet knife..
