Who buys all these DOTD Kukris?

Yes, there are ebbs and flows to sales. The hottest item at any one time can be nearly unobtainable or sitting there without a single hit. I waited a year to get a M43, and finally, finally, when the sharks stopped chomping and I could get one, I didn't 'need' it any more.

I have been fortunate enough to obtain a fair number of blades through the DOTDs, in my relatively short time here. As others have mentioned, I too enjoy the thrill of the hunt - the sense of anticipation associated with an impending DOTD posting and the satisfaction of a score. I have tried to select different blade styles each time (I have only a couple which share a common style). Also, I have limited myself to khukuris (with the exception of a Sher Attitude model which I couldn't resist). Funny, I still have not received the very first HI khukuri I ordered, from the website. As they say, all is fair in love and war, and when it comes to HI DOTDs, there's a little of each. :)
