I’m looking for a high-quality, leather slip for a small folder. For those that use slip, where did you get yours?

Ive found horween chromexcel and may never use anything else, ever again. Lol! It's just so nice. Picture of my amateur work because why not. This is the burgundy color of chromexcel.

If you want someone to make one for you, check out the sheaths and such forum section. There is an awesome group of leather crafters on the forum that could get you fixed up.

I haven't tried one of his leather slips yet, but the fabric slips I've received from Beard&Owl Beard&Owl , a member here, are awesome and available in a wide range of useful shapes and sizes. The "Slim" option works great for my 65s and 87s.

he does awesome slips, he made the ones with clips that I use when Im wearing my hospital scrubs and wish to carry a traditional knife.

Collector knives sells some very nice ones and JohnDF JohnDF did make some great ones .

I've got a Horsewright slip that is top shelf. Made strictly for pocket carry of a nice medium sized slipjoint. Think medium Case stockman. Or a Barlow.
Thank you sir for the kind words and shoutout.

I always make them myself. That's not difficult and always fun. You should try it yourself, you'll like it!

I wonder how other makers protect their leather from wet though, if they do.
Again, amateur here

I use a product called Boot Guard. Awesome stuff. It does darken the leather like oil. Water beads right off.

Obviously it works on boots, but it's been great for belts (I've recently found out), wallets, slips, sheaths etc....
