I have an example of a English manufactured sword cane with a twist release mechanism. The blade is marked 'Samuel Chambers' and was probably originally manufactured as a bayonet and later modified into a sword cane in the 19thC. ........ I have considered commissioning or making an sword-umbrella for contemporary use.
