Why is it the Imada high hollow?

The subject pretty much says it all. I've seen the High Hollow blade profile referred to as the Imada High Hollow many places. It's the same thing, regardless of which name you give it, right? Why do people call it the "Imada" High Hollow? Was he the first to use it/popularize it? Did he invent the bali with that blade profile? Thanks! :)
 
It's a bowie profile with a higher hollow grind to enhance slashing/cutting techniques. It was a modification he suggested and became one of the more popular optional blade grinds offered by Bali-Song Cutlery/Pacific Cutlery Company.
 
Thanks guys! I've seen pics of them, and I must say, I really do like that profile. I was just curious about the origins of the name.:)
 
I suspect the fact that Jeff Imada wrote the Balisong books had some influence on the popularity of the blade profile. I know I ordered one based on the enhanced thinness of the blade's cross section, with the idea that it was a better slicer. My $0.02.
