Maybe I'm the only one that loves my triflex. A few swipes on a fine stone and hairs run scared off my arm. Why did Mora decide to discontinue this model?

I had heard it was just the Bushcraft Triflex model. I hope they aren't doing away with the Triflexes altogether. The 780 is one of my favorites.:(

To the best of my knowledge they're doing away with Triflex steel altogether. Must not have made good economic sense to keep it around. They switched the drawknives from Triflex to basic 1095 some months back. Honestly the regular carbon steel blades are well more than tough enough and similarly easy to sharpen. Not a big loss ultimately.

I loved the ergonomics exhibited by my Buchcraft in Triflex, but it didn't have much resistance to corrosion and wouldn't take a patina, but it was a great knife on the handle alone. Very comfortable knife.

I love my Triflex but it always bothered me that the spine of the blade was rounded off and couldn't strike a fire steel.
