Hello I wonder why Benchmade does not produce a version Mini Presidio Auto CF Elite ?
Because all the Presidio and mini Presidio models since their release have had an automatic version, but not the CF Elite.
I find that the auto axis lock is not used much, too bad because it is the best deployment and the most solid for a switchblade in my opinion.
I wish I could buy this, I don't think I'm the only one.
What did you think?
Aimerais-tu cela?:)
Happy Independence day for all Americans!

Like a modern version of the 5270? The 527 / 5270 were the pinnacle of EDC in my opinion. Was a shame to see them discontinued.

Yes absolutely, there was version 1 aluminum 5500, after lightweight frn 5270 and the mini presidio 2 auto 5750 aluminum but not yet in lightweight CF Elite, I would really like to have one😄 Yes the 5270 was amazing with its hollow grind, I don't know why benchmade stops their best models ..

Yeah the 527 with its 3" blade and hollow grind is an amazing edc knife. The 5270 is even better with its auto axis lock. I prefer the auto axis system over the push button also.

I can't carry auto here so I stick with the manual open. If I could, I'd carry the 5270 every day and have a couple in the drawer ready to go.

Are you lucky enough to have the 527?:D
I agree with you the Axis Auto and in my opinion very fun and much more solid (as solid as the classic axis) than a button lock .
I live in France, theoretically I don't have the right to even carry a Swiss army knife in the street, so whether I carry a Swiss army knife or an automatic I risk the same fine and conficcation..
Stupid law😩

I've been carrying this 527 for over a decade now!

I've had a couple of the 575 mini presidio II's but they couldn't dethrone the 527. I gave them time in my pocket but always gravitated back to the 527. I wish it was legal to carry the 5270 here.

Cheers

Magnificent, it's nice to see knives that have lived and rendered many services🥰
What do you prefer about the 527 compared to the 575, its hollow grind or the fact that it is lighter?
How does 440c steel behave on the 527? Good heat treatment?

Cheers

I like all the things - blade shape, hollow grind, weight, scale texture, and overall size.

I think the 440c is a perfectly fine steel for this. I've had good edge retention and can make it very sharp. No rust in over a decade either! Right after I started carrying the 575-1, I bent the tip and found myself disapppointed. The size is overall a smidge larger than the 527 and I guess after 10 years I am just used to the smaller size.
