wicekleather - my works

Thank you.
As for the clip, you're right but people rarely choose to sheath without the clip.
For me it is no problem to do so (even easier). I think that it is a laziness. People want without any spillover clip sometimes held his knife in his pocket without a sheath. Or maybe they think that I can not do sheath without the clip :)

Some of new sheats.

Absolutely stunning leatherwork. I have been using R Grizzle for my pistol holster needs, and I do belive I have found my knife sheath maker. While I don't see a web site, I'll do an internet search. I do have a couple of knives I would like to "holster up". Thanks.

Thank you Gary.
If I could sacrifice 100% of my time on sheathmaking I'd be happy.
But I will be able to do it as I go into retirement :)
Today I finished the five sheaths.
Spyderco Endura , Military and Paramilitary 2 .

Looking good! :)

How's your progress on getting that Craftsman membership? Its well worth it.

This is a sheath the Master Marek (Wicekleather) made for me last month, received lightening fast from Poland.
Fits VERY securely, looks superb!
Now if I can get one for my Ritter Mini Griptilian, and maybe my Pohl Force Bravo 1 Survival....

What exactly do you use for thread? I tried goggling italian slam and cant find anything. Thanks.

I use mainly sewing thread waxed with a thickness of 0.8 mm and 1 mm.
In fact, it is hard to be found in google slam but please:
http://www.hellotrade.com/ct-point/slam.html
In Poland it is only available in basic colors in several stores.
As for me, is just right, neither too much nor too little waxed.
Last watched threads Chinese manufacturers, it seems fine.
I order to the test a little and share my opinion.

Some new sheaths.

Im new to the leather scene, and im really curious how you get such crisp lines. As far as im concerned, the detail on this is outstanding. Are you just hand forming it? What tools do you use? Are you using a press or some sort of foam to make these so perfect? Im sure your wet forming, but do you add heat to the drying process? Do you have any tips for a newbie? Wow!

Thank you for your kind words.
Let me post a link to the photostory, once a customer has asked me to do so.
It shows the tool that I use to form (I did it myself).

As for molding leather soaking in cold water, about 5-7 minutes.
The first forming only do roughly the fingers.
Then I try to do as much as possible with the tool to form.
Then use a hair dryer for 2-3 minutes but only cold air.
According to me, this facilitates forming finishing. Leather hardens slightly.
Some in the final process put leather in the freezer and later formed finishing.
Do not use hot air for drying, it is best to dry the sheath at room temperature for 24 hours.
I think it's all about molding.
If you have any questions, ask boldly. I will try to answer.
Thank you.

Thank you.
Yesterday I finished a few sheaths.
I allow myself to present to you what I did :)
