For those of you that have this specific system do you get a good even bevel on FFG knifes? any things about this unit you don't like? is this a complete system or are there must have add on's besides more diamonds to really get the sharpest most polished edge?

Thank you.

I don't know, but I can tell you the WE-130, which also uses the cam-lock self-centering vise works perfectly and very easily with FFG's like my Endura and Military.

Just did a HAP40 Delica I acquired yesterday; easy peasy, and super secure. I like the split jaw and the tension adjustment, both work perfectly in concert with each other on the super thin distil tapered Delica.

Have one, FFG are no problem; bevels are even, but only if main bevels are even of course, which often is a problem. Nice add-on is the Tormek holder for small knifes so you can sharpen traditionals and knives with low blade-height(imagine a pen blade). Also some mods are useful, like grinding/cutting the plastic on the stones away. Angle-cube is a must imo

I got the angle cube where do you measure on the arms themselves the clamp or the blade?

The Stones; take a set of high grit stones, put the angle cube on one side and the other one on the blade. Pick a spot on the edge like sharpening choil or plunge or something where you index so you're consistent. Set rough angle with the slider, with the angle being one step bigger than what you want in the end. Fix the Slider with the two thumb screws so they don't rattle. Then fine adjust and after each adjustment take the stone back and put it on again a few times to compensate for measuring error. After you're done do that on the other side as well, indexing on the same spot on the blade. The indexing is so that with a curved blade you can be sure to have the same distance from angle point of the arms to edge(projected on a 2D plane) which translates to same angle. After doing this on both sides the angle should be perfectly consistent.

I have the Wicked Edge Low Angle Adapter and find it works well.

The reason I went with the tormek option is that you can easily adapt it for multi blade traditionals(or other off-center blades) and can use it for blades that can't be clamped(for example straight razors)
But the low angle adapter still is on my list :D
