Wiha Torx Bits - Which Set Do You Recommend?

I'm getting ready to purchase some Wiha Torx bits, but am unsure if I should get the ones that are like Allen keys, or if I should get a set that is more like a screwdriver with various bits.

One advantage of the Allen key style is that you can potentially get more leverage on stubborn Torx screws that are held in with red Loctite.

So...can you please tell me which Wiha Torx set you have? Would you buy it again, or would you choose a different set if you were buying today?

Thanks for the help and suggestions.

Get this type but others will work fine.

Also don't use too much torque if their is resistance don't budge it. It's probably got loctite. Use heat then.

I have a number of Wiha and PB Swiss driver and wrench kits. PB Swiss is clearly superior in fit, finish and precision. The difference can be seen and felt. But you will pay a small premium for them over Wiha.

Yeah, PB Swiss is sorta like Porsche. Great stuff for what it is, but ultra premium prices for ultra premium performance. I think Wiha and Wera are already VERY expensive, but essentially worth the extra money *if* you are a crazy tool person like I am. I am very impressed with my Wiha and Wera gear.

I have this Wiha set:

In my mind, this is an incredibly high value given that it is Wiha. The bits are mostly awesome. The Torx and Hex that I have used fit VERY precisely into the fasteners. The Phillips are equally good. The only down side for me is the slotted bits. They aren't as good as the equivalent Wera slotted bits.

But the overall package is so good, given the price, that I wholeheartedly recommend it. Assuming that you want bits other than *just* Torx.

I picked up a small bit set from Wiha (#75980) that includes a nice range of bits and the precision driver. It also included a 4mm to 1/4" adapter that let's me use their micro bits in pretty much any bit driver I want. I have a wing style driver for those times I need good torque and just use the bit adapter. This also lets me replace just the bits for a couple dollars each as they wear out instead of paying $10-$20 or more each.

yes getting the bits is a good idea. get good brand bits they dont strip as easily. but if you do strip them, the hardware store has replacements for like $2 or something cheap for a quick fix.

Srewdriver-style, for certain.

Wiha, Wera, and PB Swiss are all very nice... But IMO, for the price you can't beat Felo. (I've been extremely happy with my Felo stuff)
