Will Leatherman be selling the Sidekick's Carabiner Bottle Opener?

I have a Wave that I'm quite happy with, so no need to buy a Sidekick. But I'm wondering if we'll be able to buy the Carabiner Bottle Opener Accessory that comes with it as a separate accessory at some point. That would make a righteous keychain!

Anyone know if there are plans to sell this as a stand-alone item?

:o To answer my own question, they are available but not at Leatherman's own site, it seems. I just ordered one. With shipping, it cost around $11. A little steep, but I really wanted to check it out. I'll report back when I get it.

lol! people are trying to get LM to sell them by themselves, many do seem to like them.

I have one and it's nice, I need to post a thread on how I got it! (you might be surprised :D )

Does the spring part seem durable, like it's made to last? I always carry my keys on a carabiner, which allows me to carry three rings together (work keys, home keys, and car keys), or leave one or more at home so as to lighten my pocket load. I don't want something that won't hold up. BTW, I'd like to hear how you got yours for sure. :)

Another option for you could be from Nite Ize, called the S-biner. It's pretty strong, nice springs, you would have to try to tear it up.

yes it's pretty durable, well made and I will make a thread soon (with pics) salute

I have the nite ize bottle opener s biner. I like it alot, the wire gate seems to stronger than their other offerings. I had one of their S biners before this one. I bought some small diameter flexible tubing and put it on there as a slide lock.IMAG0045-1.jpg
