Last 2 knife project ive worked on have just simply turned out right. Doing a regrind on a old blade i had her from some factory knife. Was in really sad shape pitted chipped etc. So i took it to my old beater bench grinder re progiled the drop point blade in to a clip point mini bowie and re ground the blade to a hollow grind. Hollow grind has just turned out near perfect as did the swedge/false edge. I dont know what is going on but its like i just cant screw up lately heh. Now im wishing i had my tax return so i could buy my self some 5160 steel or other cheap but good steel.
I figure my measly 25 dolor check should buy me enough steel to make 2 or 3 knifes or like 5 small edc knives. Basically all thats left on this regrind is hand finishing the hollow grind cleaning up the false edge and making a handle and gaurd for it. Looks like ill be making use of those gaurd tutorials i seen posted hehe.
