Finally getting to BF after 4:30pm today!

I really like the 55, and the dark wood looks great!Maybe not my prettiest wood covered knife... this one is Exoctic Mexican Bocote on a 55 that has darkened over the years.

the expression to take the key to the fields means: to take one's freedom, to free oneself.
This expression dates from the 14th century.
It would seem that the equivalent in your country is: "to take off for the wild blue yonder".
Pierre-Yves Joyeux, the cutler who made this knife was employed in a cutlery factory, when he became independent he chose this expression as his "brand".
